Magnolia

There is a certain magic in how art finds you exactly when it needs to.

After starting this Earth Altar yesterday in the form of a mandala, as a way to express my gratitude for the beauty that surrounds us, I began searching for the right sound to capture the essence of these petals.
Some were still fresh and pink, while others were already turning brown.🌸🍂

While looking for music to accompany the footage I had captured, I stumbled upon ‘Magnolias’ by Rosalía.
I didn’t know the song yet, but it felt like an inevitable harmony from the very start. As it kept raining magnolia petals today — one even landing perfectly in the center — I felt the need to expand the creation. It wasn’t until now, seeing it all come together, that I realized how deeply the lyrics of this song resonate with my creation.

The song captures exactly what I felt during this process:
that there is a profound, celebratory beauty in the cycle of life and the art of letting go.
It feels like a poetic blend of vision and sound,
where the petals and the notes touch each other in beautiful resonance.

Feeling deeply connected with and grateful for this process of creation. 🤲🏼🩷🤍🤎
