The Sages - Sacred mirroring
𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦. 𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯. 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳.
Two faces meet in stillness, eyes closed, breathing the same air. Between them,
a spiral of life rises, rooted in the Earth, reaching toward the Sun.
Guided by Sage, the herb of purification and protection, ruled by the Moon,
this design speaks of remembrance. Of clearing what stands between us and our inner knowing.
Of awakening the wisdom that has always lived within.

We all breathe the same air, share the same world, and are deeply intertwined in the greater whole;
braiding ourselves back into this remembrance.
Guided by Sage, the herb of purification and protection,
ruled by the Moon, it clears the shadows
that lie between us and our inner knowing -
the Sage (wise one) within.
It whispers to our intuition, sharpens our insights,
awakens our instincts, and opens a portal to the river of life inside of us.
There is an ancestral memory woven into this piece,
a wisdom older than us,
moving through us.
When you recognize the Sage in another,
you are witnessing your own reflection.
In this sacred mirroring,
a heart takes shape.
Placement suggestion.
This piece naturally resonates with the back of the heart space,
the quiet field between the shoulder blades where heart and lungs meet in rhythm.
Here, breath and memory live close together. Each inhale touches the back of the heart; each exhale softens what has been held.
The mirrored faces and spiral echo this shared breath, a reminder that we are always in subtle relationship with the greater whole.
There is an invisible thread woven through our hearts, where ancient wisdom lives. This space holds the past of our soul, what has been carried, patterns etched deeply, whispers of our ancestral line. Placed in this space, the sage becomes more than botanical. It acts as a gentle purifier of what the body has carried: old stories, ancestral imprints, protective patterns ready to loosen.
This area is also known as the wing space, the place of quiet support. Behind the heart and around the lungs, the body remembers both how to protect and how to receive. Marking this space is a gentle awaking of your inner sage, a reminder that you do not carry the ancient alone.
While the design can be carried wherever it is called, the back-of-heart placement especially allows its themes to root deeply in the body.
It all started with ..
journaling and a drawing I made, processing the insights I received
while i was traveling through my ancestral lands in Éire (Ireland) in November 2025.
I’ve also created an oil painting inspired by it.
